Boardmills First Presbyterian Graveyard, #2 "McKee. The buyring place of William McKee ofBresaugh..Here lieth the remains of his son Hamilton who departed this life the 18th of April 1829 aged 33 years. Also the above William who died 1st July 1830 aged 86 years.

The Book of Mackay, pgs 321-322; married Janet Mackay, daughter and co-heiress of George Mackay, 5th of Bighouse, and had by her two children. He married, secondly, Ann, daughter of James Mackay, tacksman of
Skerray, but no issue.
Blackcastle, p 136 states he had sasine to himself as eldest lawful son of John Mackay of Melness and to Janet Mackay, his spouse 25th February 1727. He died at Melness 16th August 1769.
