History of the Lands and Their Owners in Galloway, FHL 941.49 H2m, v. 3, p 198 states: "The first found [of the Lennox family in possession of Pluntoun] is Thomas Levenax, who is designated of King's Plumtoun in 1547. His descent is not given, but that he was a younger son of William Lennox, second of Callie, can scarcely be doubted. The family had then been but recently established in Galloway."
Editors have placed Blanch in this family.
