[5779] History of the Lands and Their Owners in Galloway, FHL 941.49 H2m v. 4, p 271 states: "William Gordon of Cullindoch married in 1554 Marion Mure, daughter to ______ Mure of Torhousemuir, and that the one family merged into the other....subsequently it [the land of Torhousemuir] passed to the Gordons" P. 289 states that William Gordon died in 1605 and his wife in 1612 and that their tomb is in Anwoth churchyard.
