He was born 24 Jan 1829?] Margaret, dau. d. 26 Jan 1906, aged 83. Isabella, dau. d. 25 Dec: 1888, aged 66."
It is likely she died unmarried since she is buried in family plot without another surname mentioned.

Book of Mackay, p 318
Blackcastle p 121 states that George was bred in the Law, a writer in Thurso, and had a son William Mackay who was Father of the present Lieutenant General Mackay of Sedcopt House Kent. This General Robert Mackay entered the Honourable East India Company's service and on the 21st September 1804, had attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the First Regiment of Madras Native Infantry. He advanced to LieutenantGeneral 19th July 1821. This being the highest rank to be attained in that Service, he returned to Britain in 1823 and resided at Footscray Kent, where his daughter Charlotte Mackay, aged 25, died on the 9th September 1824. He died in 1835.
