The Book of McKee, p 101, states: "he enlisted in the Revolutionary War in Jan 1778 and honorably discharged in June 1782, serving under Capt. Smith, Col. Boyd, Capts. Van Horn and Sample. He was in the Battle of Monmouth and was wounded in the arm and applied for a pension in 1818. He was a Private. He was also in War of 1812, enlisting 2 Oct 1812 and honorably discharged 2 Apr 1813.
He married in Bucks County Mary Seabring in 1789; moved to Northumberland Co until 1808; came to a farm in Westmoreland Co near Belle Vernon, Pa."
