"Isabella Oman and her husband, John Robertson, were the parents of four known children, one of whom was Janet, born 5 Mar 1842 in Lieuary, Halkirk, Caithness, Scotland. Janet Robertson md. to Colin Mackay on 22 May 1863 in Halkirk, Caithness, Scotland. According to his obituary, Colin Mackay was descended from the fine estimable stock of highlanders known as the Mackays of Strathnaver. Colin Mackay was chr. 17 Sep 1838 in New Reay, Caithness, Scotland, a son of Angus Mackay and Christian Keith. Angus Mackay was born in 1812 in Reay, a son of John Mackay and Christian."
