Book of Mackay p 357 states "a son [of Alexander and his wife Katherine Agnew] who had three sons (Alexr.; Patrick, who succeeded to Larg, 1646; and James of Crosbie, who had a son Robert, whose son John in 1691 succeeded to Larg and Palgown)." This is probably in error, since the Inquisition lists James of Crosbie's father as Patrick, Baillie of Minnigaff. Editors have accepted the Inquisition.
