Notes for Hiram Anderson: They lived at the head of Indian Creek, Kentucky. Served in Civil War in Company G. 5th Regiment, Confederate Army, enlisted Nov 11, 1861 as 4th Corporal at Pike Co. Kentucky. The same day, George, Harvey, Solomon and William Tackett enlisted at Pound Gap, Virginia in same company. 1830 and 1840 Pike Co. Ky census at home with parents. 1850 Pike County, Kentucky census shows him as a farmer with real estate valued at $200. Census list Hiram 25 M, Spicy 23 F, Elizabeth 5 F, Preston 2 M, Harvey 6/12 M. 1860 Pike County census shows him as a farmer with real estate valued at $370 and personal property valued at $300. Bond signed by Hiram Anderson and Henry W. Castle. Letter, dated January 28, 1845, requesting license for "my son Hiram Anderson to join in marriage with Spicy Tackett"; signed by Hiram Anderson (by mark) and witnessed by Solomon Tackett and Abslom McCarty.
