He married Spicey Tackett 6-Feb-1845 in Pike County, Kentucky (Source: marriage records, file# 822 & bk. 3 p. 14, have record.); born 3-Oct-1825 in Pike County, Kentucky; died 7-Nov-1896 in Pike County, Kentucky. Notes for Hiram Anderson: They lived at the head of Indian Creek, Kentucky. Served in Civil War in Company G. 5th Regiment, Confederate Army, enlisted Nov 11, 1861 as 4th Corporal at Pike Co. Kentucky. The same day, George, Harvey, Solomon and William Tackett enlisted at Pound Gap, Virginia in same company. 1830 and 1840 Pike Co. Ky census at home with parents. 1850 Pike County, Kentucky census shows him as a farmer with real estate valued at $200. Census list Hiram 25 M, Spicy 23 F, Elizabeth 5 F, Preston 2 M, Harvey 6/12 M. 1860 Pike County census shows him as a farmer with real estate valued at $370 and personal property valued at $300. Joseph England 75 b North Carolina is also listed in his house. Marriage Notes for Hiram Anderson and Spicey Tackett: Pike County Ky. file #822: Liscense issued February 1, 1845 by John D. Mims clk for marriage of Hiram Anderson and Spicy Tackett, with necessary certificate from Charles Anderson , parent of said Hiram Anderson; also from George Tackett, parent of said Spicy Tackett. Bond signed by Hiram Anderson and Henry W. Castle. Letter, dated January 28, 1845, requesting license for "my son Hiram Anderson to join in marriage with Spicy Tackett"; signed by Hiram Anderson (by mark) and witnessed by Solomon Tackett and Abslom McCarty. Letter, dated January 31, 1845, requesting Liscense for "my daughter Spycy Tackitt and Hyaram Anderson"; signed by George Tackett and attested by Solomon Osborn and Solomon Tackitt, Married Feb 6, 1845 by Wm Tackitt M.
