Notes for King Solomon "Sol" Moore: They lived awhile at Shelby Gap, Pike County, Kentucky before moving to Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky. Solomon & Tabitha's Pike County, Kentucky land sales: 20-Oct-1873: a tract of land to George W. Francisco on Elkhorn Creek Acreage not listed. 24-Sep-1879: an interest in property located on Elkhorn Creek to John H. Vanover 24-Jan-1887: tract to Trustees of School Dist #22 8-Feb-1887: title deed to E. B. Moon 17-Apr-1889: deed to James Hatcher for timber 13-Jul-1890: mineral deed to Richard M. Broas 5-Aug-1991: timber deed to W. M. Polly 19-Mar-1895: 337 acres on Shelby Creek to Levi Potter, Jr. No further land ownership is indicated in Pike County, Kentucky and they are not on the 1900 Pike Census. It is likely they left the area immediately after the sale.
