The goal of this site is to share the genealogy data on the
Anderson and
Muir
families
of Eastern Kentucky, West Virginia, and Dickenson County, Virginia. The information on this
site was gathered from family records, recollections of family members, web
sites and some official records, when available. Every effort has been
made to validate this data, however the goal is to share the data as we best
know it. Mail me or call me with updates and comments.
The family genealogy data is presented in three different
formats within this site. The data for the Anderson and the Muir
families is presented in an Online Websites format. There are also
Family Books and
Family Trees that contain extended family trees for some of my
grandparents and their extended families (Colley,
Francisco, McCoy,
and Ratliff).
Some tips for using this web
site is to click on highlighted
words and numbers. This online data is available under
Online Websites (this is a highlighted
word), select the family website you are interested in, the slected the Pedigree
Chart, then click on the Family Links to drive down through the
family tree. You may also search by Name or Surname.
The buttons in the left margin will navigate you to different pages as will
the text buttons at the bottom of most pages. I have
removed my email address from this web site because of spam and hackers.
Call me or send me a letter and I will send you my email address. You may see some
data duplicated. This is done so as to make the notes and references
more accessible.
The history
of the Charles Anderson family is fairly well documented in the
1820 Floyd
County, Ky. Census,
1830 Pike County, Ky. Census, 1840 Pike County, KY. Census,
1850 Pike County, Ky.,1850
Pike County, Ky. Census Transcribed, and the
1860 Dickenson (Buchanan) County, VA. Census. Notes have been
added to the individual files documenting the source of marriages and land
deeds. If you have any data such as copies of family bibles, deeds or
marriage licenses for any of the Charles Anderson Family please send me a
copy.
