Nathanael [2], (Edward [1]) first mentioned in 1713 as a subscriber to the new church at Newington, evidently married Anna or "Annah" and lived in Greenland and Stratham. She is mentioned as joining the church at Greenland in 1727, and in 1727 Nathanael, are recorded as joining the same church (G.R.). The town records at Stratham show another son, John [3], born in 1731. In 1750 and 1761 there is a John [ ] Peavey of Greenland defendant on notes. Maybe this is the John [3], son of Nathanael [2] Peavey.

Later, Nathanael [2] Peavey seems to have been incapacitated, for his tax was "abated" in 1743 and from 1744 to 1763 he was cared for by the town of Stratham. He died in 1763. Anna is mentioned in the town records in 1770, and Deacon Lane's (Stratham) diary records her death in 1782. Nathanael's [2] son, Samuel [3] Peavey, lived in Stratham. His wife was Mary, according to the Registry of Deeds. From 1748 to 1767, six or seven of his children died one after another (G.R.). From 1756 to 1767, he was bell ringer for the town.

Nathanael's [2] son, Anthony [3] Peavey, was a very active real estate man. He bought land in Epping and Exeter, New Hampshire in 1747, and form then to 1753 is noted in many land transactions. During a part of this period, he was a defendant in a number of civil suits — possibly over the vague land titles of those early days.

In the early 50's, he lived in Epping, and in 1753 married Mary French of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire. His son, Jacob [4] Peavey, was born in 1754, and his son, Anthony [4] Peavey in 1756. Land records show him living at Exeter in 1754 to 1756, but in 1758 he is in New York, where he deeded land in South Hampton to Jacob French of that town.
