Charles T. [7] Peavey (Charles J. [6] - Charles [5] - James [4] - Hudson [3] - Abel [2] - Edward [1]) went west form Eastport, and married Roxa L. Strohl. Their children were Roxa, born 1895 (since deceased); Thomas [8], born 1899; Frank Hutchinson [8], born 1903; and Elizabeth. Charles T. [7] has been affiliated with the grain business, traveling the grain states as a grain auditor much of his time. He now resides in Chicago with his family and to him I am greatly indebted for his encouragement and assistance in compiling much of this information.

Now let us look at the other early members of the family. Peter [2], (Edward [1]) I have already stated, went to Hampton and became the heir of Thomas Roby. (Probate Records). Records are on file of Peter's marriage intentions to Esther Barker in 1720 and the Vital Records of Andover, Massachusetts, state he married her in 1720, he spelled his name Pevey and many of this branch have carried the spelling along until today. I under- stand Peter [2] was married at Andover, and went immediately tc Hampton and stayed there some years.

I have a copy of some printed records, made in 1906 on this branch of the family, which say he was bom in 1697. I will not here give these records in full as they are of some length and easily obtained. I do not know who compiled these records, but they say that Peter's [2] children were as follows. "The children of Peter and Esther (Barber) Pevey were: Hannah, born in Hampton , July 14, 1721, married March 28, 1758, William Benit: Mary, born in Hampton, March 22, 1723, married May 5, 1748, Eliskin Wardwell; Rachel, born in Andover, Massachusetts, February 18, 1726, baptized at Hampton May 23, 1726; Esther, born in Andover, April 23,
