William Albert [7] Peavey (fttee^ -D. [6] - Charles [5] - James [4] - Hudson [3] - Abel [2] - Edward [1]) married in California, Lucy B. Parks and their children were Blanc B., born 1889; and Ethel. Fred Hudson [7] Peavey (William S. [6] - Charles [5] - James [4] - Hudson [3] - Abel [2] - Edward [1]) married Anna M. Ames. Frank H. [7] Peavey (Albert D. [6] - Charles [5] - James [4] - Hudson [3] - Abel [2] - Edward [1]) went West to the grain belt and became a millionaire elevator man. He married Mary D. Wright in Iowa and their children were Lucia Louise, born 1873; Mary Drew, born 1875, and George Wright [8] Peavey, all born in Sioux City, Iowa. Frank H. [7] died of a sudden illness in Chicago in 1901. The elevators of the F. H. Peavey Co. became a well known sight in the large cities of the Northwest and the Lake region. Lucia Louise Peavey married Frank T. Heffelfinger of Minneapolis and her husband and her son, Frank Peavey Hefelfinger, together with Mary Drew Peavey's husband, Frederick D. Wells, are now associated together in the grain business in Minneapolis. George Wright [8] Peavey married Katherine S. Jordan. James Fulton [7] Peavey, brother to Frank H., also went tc Iowa from Eastport and married Jennie Jones of that state. After a time he worked eastword, and until recently was actively engaged in a prosperous insurance business in New Yorl City. He has lately retired and lives in Maplewood, New Jersey. One son, Harris B. [8] Peavey, born in Sioux City in 1885, lives with him and after a period in business, has taken up a literary career. |
