William Nutter of Barnstead, New Hampshire; Dolly, born 1791, and married Joshua Purber; Hannah, born 1794 who married Warrer Hathaway; and Humphrey [5], born 1796.

James [4] of Newington left a will, probated in 1811, in which he mentions his wife, Mary, and children, John N. [5], James B. [5], Charles [5], Humphrey [5], Anna (Peavey) Scott, and names Hopley [5] his executor.

John N. [5] Peavey moved to Eastport, Maine, where he was a carpenter and master builder. He married Phoebe Anderson and their children were John Anderson [6], born 1815, who married Mary H. Carpenter; Mary Ann, born 1818, and married Robert Ker; also James Madison [6], born 1813, but died in 1817. John Anderson [6] Peavey's children were Lucy H., born 1839; Phoebe A., born 1841; Mary Ann, born 1842; James Madison [7], born 1844; and Edward Carpenter [7].

Hopley Y. [5] Peavey married Lydia Kenison in 1809, and lived on the old home place at Newington. He had a daughter, Lydia, born 1812, who married a Bateman; James [6], born 1809; Hopley [6], born 1814; and Hannah, born 1816, according to the Newington town records. Hopley died in 1829, being the last of the name to live there, and the place passed on to the Frink family, as I have said.

Charles [5] Peavey married Elizabeth Johnson of Eastport, where he went as an apprentice to his brother, John N. [5]. He became a large owner of land and saw mills, and was Brigadier General of the First Brigade of the Seventh Division of the Maine Militia. He was on the Governor's Council frew 1831 to 1833, and was surveyor of the port of Eastport for a time. (Kilby's Eastport and Passamaquoddy).

His children were as follows: John [6], born 1811; William S. [6], born 1812; Hannah E., born 1814, who married Daniel I. Odell; Mary C., born 1816, and married John
