Ann Odell, the daughter of William Odell and Rachel Walter was born in 1811 in Baltimore County, Maryland. No additional information has been found concerning this individual.
235. William Alexander Odell.
William Odell, the son of William Odell and Rachel Walter was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on 2 March 1813. He was later married in Maryland to his cousin, Caroline Matilda Worthington. Caroline, who was calculated to have been born in Baltimore County in 1827, was the daughter of Nicholas Dorsey Worthington and Matilda Odell.
In 1851, William and Caroline moved to Knox County, Tennessee, where Williams brother, Thomas, had settled sometime earlier. Although William and Caroline resided on a farm in Knox County for many years, it has been stated by some researchers that they eventually moved to the State of Texas, where William is said to have died on 8 October 1889. I have not been able to verify this, however.

As a young man, Epiminandus moved to Knox County, Tennessee to live with his older brother, Thomas Bowen Odell. Epiminandus was later married to a woman named Margaret. Margaret, who was a native of Georgia, was calculated to have been born there in 1837. There are no known issue from this marriage.

Jonathan Odell, the son of William Odell and Rachel Walter, was calculated to have been born in Baltimore County, Maryland in 1817. As a young man, Jonathan moved to Knox County, Tennessee to live with his older brother, Thomas Bowen Odell. No additional information has been found concerning this individual.
238. Hith Dickson Odell.
Hith Odell, the son of William Odell and Rachel Walter, was calculated to have been born in Baltimore County, Maryland in 1819. As a young man, Hith moved to Knox County, Tennessee to live with his older brother, Thomas Bowen Odell. Hith was later married on 17 December 1861 in Knox County to a woman named Evaline C. Nelson. Evaline, who was a native of Tennessee, was calculated to have been born there in 1828.
Hith and Evaline were found on the 1870 residing at Knoxville in Knox County. Although it is not known at this time when Hith passed away, on the 1880 census, Hith was not found. His widow and children were shown in the household of Hiths brother, Elisha, however.

Elisha Odell, the son of William Odell and Rachel Walter, was calculated to have been born in Baltimore County, Maryland in 1821. As a young man, Elisha moved to Knox County, Tennessee to live with his older brother, Thomas Bowen Odell. At the present time it is not known if Elisha remained single throughout his life, or whether he married his brother, Hiths, widow, Evaline, after Hith died. Hiths widow and children were residing in Elishas household in 1880. Regardless of this, Elisha did not have any children of his own.
240. Matilda Odell.
Matilda Odell, the daughter of Isaiah Odell and Elizabeth Buck Towson, was born on 27 December 1797 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She was later married in Baltimore County to a man named Nicholas Dorsey Worthington by a marriage licenses that was dated 15 December 1815. Nicholas, who was also a native of Maryland, was calculated to have been born there in 1789.
Nicholas subsequently died in Baltimore County on 20 January 1860 at the age of 71, while Matilda died there on 12 October 1879.
The children listed below as (male) or (female) were abstracted from available pre-1850 census records. Although these are all believed to be Nicholas and Matilda's children, their identities have yet to be determined.

241. Providence Ann Odell.
Providence Odell, the daughter of Isaiah Odell and Elizabeth Buck Towson, was born on 26 February 1800 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She was later married in Baltimore County to a man named Lemuel Ward Gosnell. Lemuel, who had been born in Baltimore County, Maryland on 2 April 1796, was the son of Philip Gosnell and Mary Ward. Providence subsequently died in Baltimore County on 6 April 1833. Although Providence was originally buried in the Odell Cemetery near Randallstown in Baltimore County, her remains were later moved to the Wards Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
After Providence passed away, Lemuel married for a second time to a woman named Adaline P. Kite on 6 January 1836 at Chambersburg in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Lemuel and Adaline returned to Baltimore County, Maryland after their marriage, and it is here that Lemuel resided for the remainder of his life. Lemuel died in Baltimore County on 20 June 1876. In his will, which was dated 29 March 1876, Lemuel named the below listed children.

She appears, however, to have been married to a man named Fuhr when the estate was later settled.

Henry Odell and Mary Sweeten had a female child who was born in Baltimore County, Maryland. Although this child was enumerated on the 1810 census of Maryland, her identity has yet to be determined.
267. Mary Odle.
Mary Odle (also written Odell), the daughter of John Odell and Nancy Moore, was born in 1789 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now within West Virginia). She was later married in Ross County, Ohio to a man named Martin A. Boots on 1 September 1805. Martin, who was born in about 1777 in Hardy County, Virginia (now within West Virginia), was the son of Hans Adam and Barbara Stieffel. (Note: Hans Stieffel appears to have changed his name to Boots in about 1800).
In 1819, Martin and Mary left Ohio and moved to Randolph County, Indiana. They later settled at the mouth of Boots Creek in Grant County, Indiana, where they had entered land on 19 October 1825. Martin subsequently constructed the first water powered grist mill in Grant County on Boots Creek. Mary died in Grant County, Indiana in about 1830.
After Mary passed away, Martin married for a second time to a woman named Nancy Norman in Grant County on 20 June 1833. From this second marriage two sons were born, namely Nelson R. Boots and George W. Boots. Martin died at Marion in Grant County on 13 September 1842.

Sarah Odle (also written Odell), the daughter of John Odell and Nancy Moore, was born on 6 October 1790 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now within West Virginia). She was later married in Ohio to a man named George Reitenour in about 1809. George, who was calculated to have been born in 1783 in Frederick County, Virginia, was the son of Anthony Reitenour and Margaret Schlosser. He was also the brother of the William Reitenour who married Sarah's sister, Asenath.
In 1819, George and Sarah left Ohio and moved to Randolph County, Indiana, where they both resided for the remainder of their lives. Sarah died on 17 July 1839 in Randolph County. Although George remarried four more times, there were no additional children from any of these marriages. George subsequently died near Deerfield in Randolph County on 10 September 1869 at the age of eighty-six.

Asenath Odle (also written Odell), the daughter of John Odell and Nancy Moore, was born in about 1791/92 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now within West Virginia). Asenath was apparently married twice during her life. She married her first husband, William Reitenour, on 14 November 1819 in Ross County, Ohio. William, who was calculated to have been born in 1787 in Frederick County, Virginia, was the son of Anthony Reitenour and Margaret Schlosser. He was also the brother of the George Reitenour who married Asenath's sister, Sarah.
Shortly after their marriage, William and Asenath left Ohio and moved to Randolph County, Indiana, where they both resided for the remainder of their lives. William died in Randolph County in about 1824. After William passed away, Asenath married for a second time on 28 April 1825 to a man named David Haworth (also written Hayworth) in Randolph County, Indiana. Asenath apparently died in Randolph County in about 1831. She was subsequently buried in the White River Friends Cemetery.

270. Caleb Owen Odle.
Caleb Odle (also written Odell), the son of John Odell and Nancy Moore, was born on 2 January 1793 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now within West Virginia). As a young boy, Caleb moved to Ross County, Ohio with his parents, and it is there that he grew to manhood. During the War of 1812, Caleb served as a Corporal in Captain Martin Armstrong's Company of Ross County militia. Caleb was apparently married twice during his life. He married on 8 November 1815 to his first wife, Hester M. "Kitty" Brown, in Gallia County, Ohio. Hester, who was born in about 1795 in New York, was the daughter of Nathan Brown and Margaret Simpson. Hester died in Randolph County, Indiana in about 1831.
After Hester passed away, Caleb married for a second time to a woman named Irene Franklin on 14 August 1834 in Randolph County, Indiana. Irene, who was born in about 1797 in Virginia, was the daughter of John Franklin and Eleanor Riggs. After their marriage, Caleb and Irene resided in that portion of Randolph County that was formed into Adams County in 1835. They later settled in that portion of Jasper County, Indiana that was formed into Newton County, Indiana in 1859. Their farm was situated along the Illinois - Indiana state line. Caleb subsequently died on 25 December 1865 in Iroquois County, Illinois. His second wife, Irene, is believed to have preceded him in death.

He was later married on 12 Novewmber 1816 in Ross County, Ohio to a woman named Elizabeth Franklin. Elizabeth, who was a native of Pennsylvania, was calculated to have been born there in 1799.
Shortly after their marriage, William and Elizabeth moved to Randolph County, Indiana. Over the years, William served as a Justice of the Peace, and as the Post Master for Randolph County. William died in Randolph County, Indiana on 8 October 1847.

He later fought against the British during the War of 1812. On 7 April 1813, shortly after his enlistment was up, William was married to a woman named Elizabeth "Betsy" Ewings in Ross County, Ohio. Elizabeth, was also a native of Virginia, had been born there on 31 December 1796, .
William and Elizabeth eventually moved to western Indiana, where they settled in Warren County. William died in Warren County on 28 December 1869, while Elizabeth died there on 16 April 1874. Both were subsequently buried in the Pine Village Cemetery in John Q. Adams Township.

In 1830, Frederick and Hannah left Ross County, Ohio and moved to Warren County, Indiana. Frederick died in Warren County on 22 January 1862. He was subsequently buried in the Union Cemetery in John Q. Adams Township in Warren County. Although Hannah is also believed to have died in Warren County, the actual date of her death has not been determined.

She was later married in Ross County, Ohio by a license dated 24 January 1821 to a man named Samuel Thomas. Samuel, who was also a native of Ross County, Ohio, had been born there on 16 August 1800.
In 1830, Asenath and Samuel left Ross County, Ohio and moved to Warren County, Indiana. Samuel died in Warren County on 8 February 1843. After Samuel passed away, Asenath married for a second time to a man named Waymire. Asenath was residing with her son, John, and his family in Pine Village Township in 1860. Asenath died in Warren County on 26 September 1873. Both she and her first husband were subsequently buried in the Union Cemetery in John Q. Adams Township in Warren County.

Thomas Odle (also written Odell), the son of Richard Odell and Elizabeth Dawson, was born on 5 February 1808 in Ross County, Ohio. Thomas was subsequently married in Ross County to a woman named Adilade Horton on 1 August 1829. Adilade, who was also a native of Ohio, had been born there on 13 January 1813.
In 1832, Thomas and Adilade moved to Warren County, Indiana, where they became members of the Union Methodist Church in Pine Village. Although Thomas was originally a hatter by trade, he apparently took up farming after his marriage. Thomas died in Warren County on 19 January 1882, while his widow, Adilade, died there on 13 April 1896. Both were subsequently buried in the Pine Village Cemetery in John Q. Adams Township in Warren County.

Abigail apparently was married twice during her life. She married first to a man named Minot Kidney on 17 July 1832 in Warren County, Indiana. Minot, who was a native of New York, was calculated to have been born there in 1811. He appears to have died in Warren County in about 1854/55.
After her first husband died, Abigail married for a second time, also in Warren County, Indiana, to a man named Alfred Fisher on 28 January 1858. Alfred, who was a native of North Carolina, was calculated to have been born there in 1803. There were no issue from Abigail's second marriage. The date and place of Abigail's death have not been determined.

In about 1847/48, John and Lavina left Indiana and moved to Wisconsin, where they settled near the town of Juda in Green County. John died in Green County, Wisconsin on 11 February 1860. He was subsequently buried in the Basswood Cemetery in Spring Grove Township, Green County.
After John passed away, Lavina and her children moved to Warren County, Iowa, and eventually to Kansas. Lavina passed away in 1898 near Wilson in Ellsworth County, Kansas.

Nathan later died on 12 May 1885 in Pleasants County, West Virginia, while Belinda died there on 31 October 1892. Both were subsequently buried in the Hebron Cemetery in Pleasants County.

He was the son of Jacob Talkington and Prissocia Price.
After their marriage, John and Asenath settled on a farm in Harrison County, where it appears they resided for the remainder of their lives. Asenath died in Harrison County, West Virginia on 11 June 1903, while John died there on 8 September 1907. Both were subsequently buried in the Talkington Cemetery on Route 20 along the Harrison/Wetzel County line.

Maria, who is believed to have been born in about 1809, was the daughter of Edward Choate and Elizabeth Dimmitt. She died on 8 March 1848 in Baltimore County, Maryland, the mother of four children.
After his first wife passed away, Walter married for a second time, also in Maryland, to a woman named Rebecca Keifer on 11 November 1851. Rebecca, who was also a native of Maryland, was calculated to have been born there in 1816. Walter, who was a miller by trade, died in Baltimore County, Maryland on 19 March 1862. Rebecca, on the other hand, died on 15 April 1882.

James and Nancy eventually moved to St. Joseph County, Michigan, where they settled in the vicinity of Mottville. James died on 24 January 1835 in St. Joseph County. Although Nancy survived James by many years, she does not appear to have remarried.

Susanna was also the sister of the Ann Gibbon who married Enos Odell's brother, Lorenzo Odell.
In about 1838, Enos and Susanna moved to Macoupin County, Illinois, where they settled in Scottville Township. Enos died on 22 February 1852 in Macoupin County. He was subsequently buried in the Scottville West Cemetery.

She was later married on 19 March 1832 in Wayne County, Ohio to a man named Thomas M. Burns. Thomas, who was also a native of Ohio, is believed to have been born there on 11 May 1807.
Shortly after their marriage, Thomas and Rebecca moved to Cass County, Michigan. Rebecca died on 18 September 1846 in Cass County. After Rebecca passed away, Thomas married for a second time to a woman named Lavina Field, and had several additional children by her. Thomas subsequently died on 1 January 1888 in Michigan.

Shortly after their marriage, Thomas and Eliza moved to Michigan. They apparently moved back to Ohio prior to 1840, however, as their fourth child was born in that State. Thomas died in Greenfield County, Ohio on 22 September 1880. Eliza, on the other hand, died on 20 September 1891.

Josiah Odell, the son of James Odell and Catherine Pittinger, was born on 15 September 1811 in Highland County, Ohio. Josiah was apparently married twice during his life. He married first to a woman named Anna Hunt on 26 March 1835 in Cass County, Michigan. Anna was the daughter of Eleaser and Mary Hunt.
After Anna passed away, Josiah married for a second time, also in Cass County, Michigan, to a widow named Elizabeth (White) Tharp on 16 November 1845. Elizabeth, who was also a native of Ohio, was calculated to have been born there in 1816. She had previously been married to a man named Nathan Tharp on 6 December 1838 in Cass County, and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth White.
Josiah later joined the Union Army during the Civil War. He subsequently died on 24 May 1862 in Maryland.

Shortly after their marriage, Thomas and Melcina moved to Kansas where they resided for the remainder of their lives. Thomas died at Perry in Jefferson County, Kansas on 29 August 1884.

Although Abner is said to have been married three times, only two of his wives have been identified with any certainty. He was shown on the 1850 census of Pickens County with a wife named Mary and on the 1860 census with a wife named Mary S. ( ). Whether or not these are the same individual is not known at this time. He is known to have married in Pickens County, possibly as a second wife, to a woman named Mary Susanna, undoubtedly the Mary S. shown on the 1860 census. Mary, who had been born on 28 October 1833 in Pickens County, died there on 28 March 1870. She was subsequently buried in the Kennemore, Mauldin, Odell Cemetery.
After Mary died, Abner married in Pickens County for a third time to a woman named Eliza Rowland. Eliza, who had been born on 10 December 1842 in South Carolina, had served as Abner's housekeeper for many years. Abner died on 8 September 1902 in Pickens County, while Eliza died there on 17 January 1915. Both were subsequently buried in the Kennemore, Mauldin, Odell Cemetery in Pickens County. The only children that Abner is known to have had were with his wife, Mary Susanna.

William Odell, the son of John Odell and Sarah Holman, was calculated to have been born in 1830 in Carroll County, Indiana. As a young man, William went to Oregon with his parents on the Oregon Trail. He was later married in Oregon to a woman named Elizabeth (McLench) Thurston (also written Thursten). This was Elizabeth’s second marriage, having previously been married to a man named Samuel R. Thurston. Elizabeth, who was a native of Maine, was calculated to have been born there in 1834.
William and Elizabeth resided in Springfield Township in Lane County, Oregon, where he became the first Surveyor General in the State of Oregon. Elizabeth was a school teacher. They later moved to Hood River in Hood River County, Oregon, where they helped establish a Methodist Church. The small town of Odell in Hood River County was named after William.
William and Elizabeth eventually moved to Salem, Oregon, where he purchased the Oregon Statesman Newspaper. He subsequently served as its publisher for a number of years. William subsequently died in Oregon. Although Elizabeth had two children from a previous marriage, no issue are known from Williams marriage to Elizabeth.

There were no issue from this marriage.
After Morgan passed away, Mary married for a second time to a man named James Haven Farnsworth. James was the son of Dr. Freeman and Sarah Farnsworth. In about 1868/69, James and Mary moved to Cowlitz County, Washington, where they settled in the vicinity of Castle Rock. He was the son of Cyrus Alderman and Jane Dufreise.
Albert, who was a farmer by trade, died in Yamhill County, Oregon on 24 December 1908, while Charlotte died there on 30 May 1910. Both were subsequently buried in the Brookside Cemetery at Dayton in Yamhill County.

Prior to their marriage, Daniel had served in the Civil War. According to his pension papers, Daniel enlisted on 18 August 1861 and was a Private in Company "C" of the 1st Mississippi Infantry Regiment. Although he was wounded and taken prisoner in 1862 at Ft. Hudson, he was subsequently released at Vicksburg later that year. After his release, Daniel rejoined the Confederate Army and continued serving until May 1865.
Daniel and Sarah Jane eventually moved to New Mexico, where Sarah Jane died on 24 January 1917 in Fields Township in Curry County. Daniel on the other hand, died on 29 January 1929 at Kirkland in Childress County, Texas.

Washington Odell was calculated to have been born in 1832 in South Carolina. He was the son of Eleanor Odell and a man whose identity has not been determined. He went by the name of Washington Odell throughout his life, however. Washington was later married on 16 September 1858 to a woman named Mary Ellen Reed in Arkansas. Mary, who was born on 14 February 1841 in Arkansas, was the daughter of Finis and Louisiana Reed.
Washington died in Sevier County, Arkansas on 19 July 1864. After Washington passed away, Mary married in Arkansas for a second time to the Rev. James Butler Hill on 25 October 1871. Mary had five children from her second marriage to James Hill. Their names were Ida, Lula, Reeder, Jessie, and John. Mary died on 10 April 1920 at Nashville in Howard County, Arkansas.

Davis Odell, the son of John Odell and Rachel C. C. Odell, was born on 14 July 1861 in Laurens County, South Carolina. Davis was a twin child. He subsequently died on 22 July 1862 in Laurens County, at one year of age.

Jeter Odell, the son of John Odell and Rachel C. C. Odell, was born on 24 July 1863 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was later married in Abbeville County, South Carolina to a woman named Mollie A. Davis on 23 December 1891. Mollie, who was also a native of South Carolina, had been born there on 14 January 1875.
Although Jeter and Mollie were residing in Abbeville County, South Carolina in 1900, they eventually settled in Laurens County, South Carolina. Jeter died on 29 August 1928 in Laurens County, while Mollie died there on 20 June 1947. Both were subsequently buried in the Turkey Creek Church Cemetery in Laurens County.

Elijah Odell, the son of John Odell and Rachel C. C. Odell, was born on 30 August 1868 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was later married in Abbeville County, South Carolina to a woman named Callie Inez Davis on 21 January 1896. Callie had been born on 26 November 1877.
Elijah subsequently died in Laurens County, South Carolina on 3 October 1948. Callie, on the other hand, died on 21 October 1967 in a nursing home in Edgefield County, South Carolina. Both were buried in the Turkey Creek Cemetery in Laurens County.

Rachel Odell, who generally went by her middle name, Lorena, was the daughter of John Odell and Rachel C. C. Odell. She was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on 18 November 1872. Lorena was later married in South Carolina to a man named John Green Price on 24 January 1900. John, who was also a native of Laurens County, had been born there on 24 May 1858. This was Johns second marriage, as he had previously been married to a woman named Alice M. Gambrell.
Although John and Lorena resided for a time in Abbeville County, South Carolina after their marriage, they eventually settled at Hodges in Greenwood County, South Carolina. Lorena subsequently died at Hodges, South Carolina on 23 February 1923, while John died there on 1 July 1937. Both were buried in the Greenville Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Donalds in Abbeville County.

She was later married in South Carolina to a man named Harrison Mitchell. Harrison, who was also a native of South Carolina, had been born there on 10 December 1840. He was the son of David Mitchell and Lucinda South.
Harrison Mitchell, who was a farmer by trade, died in Laurens County, South Carolina on 30 December 1912, while Nancy died there on 23 July 1928. Both were subsequently buried in the Union Baptist Cemetery in Laurens County.
