Eli was born Dec 1825 and died before 1910.  He married Nancy Steenbergen Apr 7, 1864 Barren County, Kentucky.  Nancy was born May 16, 1841 and died Dec 19, 1914 Barren County, Kentucky.  They are buried at Mitchell Graveyard, Barren County, Kentucky.  They had eight children.
I.         Cora was born about May 1865.
II.        William was born June 1867.
III.      Sarah was born about 1868.
IV.      Susan was born Aug 1869.
V.        Uberto was born about 1872.
VI.       Minnie was born about 1875.
VII.      George wsa born May 1879.
VIII.     Clemmie was born Mar 1880.

Mrs. Nancy Tracy, widow of the late Eli Tracy, died at her home in the Etoile country, Dec 19th, after a long illness caused by cancer. She was a most excellent woman, a splendid Christian character and was greatly esteemed by all. She is survived by six chldren: Mrs W. J. Proffitt, Mrs. Elim Thomas and Messrs. Will and George Tracy of the Etoile country, Mrs. Douglas of Allen County, and Mrs. Dr. John Childress of Texas. Mr. John Henry Tracy, the well-know citizen of Etoile, is her step-son. Funeral services were held at the residence by Elder J. D. Smith, after which the remains were interred in the family burying ground."
