I, Elleanor Holt, do make and publish this as my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made.
First, I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of my moneys that I may be possessed of or may find come into the hands of my executor.
Secondly, I give and bequeath to Elizabeth E. Driskill my oldest daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid out of the twelve hundred dollars pension money which I have drawn or will draw from the U.S.A. Pension Act for arrears.
Thirdly, I give and bequeath to Judah Shepard, my second daughter one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, out of said moneys.
Fourthly, I give and bequeath to Elleanor Conway, my third daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Fifthly, I give and bequeath to Obedience Smith, my fourth daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Sixthly, I give and bequeath to Harriett Owens, my fifth daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Seventhly, I give and bequeath to Sarah Gammons, my sixth daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Eighthly, I give and bequeath to Rachel Walker my seventh daughter one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Ninethly, I give and bequeath to Charlotte Smith my eighth daughter, one hundred dollars to be paid as directed in the first, and out of said moneys.
Tenthly, I give and bequeath to a daughter of Charlotte Smith and a grand daughter of mine, one hundred dollars, to be put out at interest until the said Loucinda Smith becomes of age and then paid over to her, the said Loucinda Smith, with all the interest that shall accrue on the said one hundred dollars; up to that time said money to be put out on interest as soon as it comes into the hands of my executor, whom I shall appoint.
Eleventhly, I give and bequeath to Zebidee Holt, my husband, and Loucinda Smith my grand daughter the rest of my estate that shall be in the hands of my executor so long as they remain together; but in the event said Loucinda Smith should leave the said Zebidee Holt, then she is not to receive any benefit from said moneys –said moneys to be paid out to said Zebidee Holt and Loucinda Smith as they need it and if any left in the hands of the executor after said Zebidee Holt’s death to be divided equally between all the heirs spoken of in this will.
Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint James M. Davis my executor, in witness whereof I do to this, my will, set my hand this the 9th day of October, 1879.

This was the execution of the last will and testament of Elleanor Holt proven in open court by the oaths of J. J. Jones and Jacob Eisonhour the subscribing witnesses thereto. Thereupon, the court ordered that said will be admitted to probate and that the clerk of this court record the same in the will book of Cocke County.
