Nathan was born Feb 15, 1800 Georgia and died Nov 18, 1877 Whitley County, Kentucky.  He married Amy Smith Jan 13, 1827.  Amy was born about 1810 and died Apr 28, 1893 Whitley County, Kentucky.  They are buried in the Nathan Lawson Cemetery, Whitley County, Kentucky.  They had twelve children.
I.       James was born Aug 28, 1828 and died in 1913.
II.     Nancy was born Sept 21, 1829.
III.    Anna was born Apr 24, 1831.
IV.    Calvin was born Feb 10, 1833.
V.      Sampson David was born Dec 8, 1835 and died Oct 4, 1920.  He married Lydia Wells.  She was born Sept 26, 1840 and died Oct 28, 1904.
VI.    Henry was born June 22, 1836.
VII.   Andrew was born Aug 19, 1838 and died Apr 28, 1907.  He married Mary King.  She was born Apr 7, 1837 and died Sept 9, 1905.
VIII.  Elias was born June 22, 1840.
IX.     Nathan was born Oct 10, 1842 and died Oct 4, 1882.
X.      Pleasant was born Oct 14, 1845.
XI.     John was born Aug 1, 1847.
XII.   Jain was born Sept 10, 1850.
