Obituary, Milan Republican 26 May 1921 "Henry Ford was born in Monroe
County, Kentucky, August 25, 1854; died at his home in Reger, MO, May
19,1921, age 66 years, 8 months and 24 days. Deceased was married to
Mary Gramling July 27, 1879. To this union were born 7 children, 2 of
whom died in infancy. The others were all with their father at the time
of his death. The deceased was a plain, honest man, liked by all who
knewhim, good to his family and kind to his neighbors. Mr Ford and wife
spent the winter at Von Ormy, Texas with their youngest son,
Winfred.They had only been home a short time when he was called to
cross the great river, Death. Mr Ford leaves a wife, Mary J, who was a
beloved companion and comforter to the end and 5 children: Mrs Charles
McClellan of Uitca, MO; Elmer of Weir, Kansas; Eddie of Baton Rouge,
Louisiana;Charley of Trenton, MO and Winfred of Van Ormy, Texas.
Besides these he leaves to mourn his departure 3 brothers and 2 sisters
and many friends.Life's work done, life's crown well won; Now comes
rest in the great beyond" Card of Thanks. We wish to extend our sincere
thanks to our friends who assisted or offered their assistance during
the sickness and burial of our husband and father, Henry Ford. We also
