Joseph was born about 1831 Monroe County, Kentucky and died Sept 8, 1862 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was a prisoner of war when he died. He married Hannah Lloyd Oct 1, 1852 Monroe County, Kentucky.  Hannah was born about 1833 Greene County, Tennessee and died 1897 Monroe County, Kentucky.  They had four children.
I.        Mary was born Nov 14, 1853.
II.       Henry was born Oct 11, 1855.
III.     John was born about 1858.
IV.     Nancy was born Nov 11, 1860.

Will of Hannah Gramlin
Filed Aug 2,1897  Recorded in Book D  page 95
In the name of God, Amen and in the present these witnesses, I Hannah E. Gramblim of the County of Monroe and the State of Kentucky being in good health and sound in mind do make and ordain this my last will and testament.
First that all my debts be paid and all burial expenses be paid.
Secondly I will and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy Jane and my son law John W Brown, twenty five acres of my land this day surveyed and deeded to them.
Thirdly I will and bequeath unto my son Henry Harmon Gramblin all the remainder of my land which is fifty five acres this day deeded to him and also all my household and kitchen furniture at my death which he the said Henry Harmon Gramblim is to support and take care of me during my lifetime.
Fourthy I will and bequeath to my son John Grablim and my daughter Mary Ann Gramblin all my  money that I may draw from the Government as I draw my pension and all my present debts is to be first paid out of it and them the to have all the rest as long as I live, one half to John Gramblen and the other half to Mary Ann is to take care of herself. Mary Ann and her youngest child.  I hereby appoint Henry Harmon Grablin and Abraham Jinkens my true and lawful executors of my last will and testament as the law directs given under my hand and seal this the 10th day of Sept 1877
