ARTERBURN, decd, plaintiff vs W D QUIGLEY, Deft.
John ARTERBURN died intestate in Monroe Co on or about March 1890. In
April
of the same yr KINGERY qualified as administrator. In 1876 W D QUIGLEY
gave
the decd a note for $200, everything paid but $10. In 1898, QUIGLEY gave
the decd another note for $65, nothing has been paid on this. In 1887,
QUIGLEY executed another note for $35., not paid. He wants payment to
settle the accounts. Depositions were taken of:
G B QUIGLEY (taken in Glasgow) 4 Feb 1893 - he was 34 yrs old, lived
Rocky
Hill Station, a physician. Testimony dealt by distilling - ARTERBURN
was a
distiller.
Dr C W BIGGERS, taken in Barren Co 7 June 1893, 52 yrs old, resided
Barren
Co, physician - knew decd about 35 yrs.
M S VANCE, taken same day, age 74 yrs, resided Nobob in Barren Co,
farmer,
unable to make it to Tompkinsville.
Ryan MILLER, 43 yrs old, resided Nobob, farmer, unable to go to T'ville.
Jacob KINGERY, same place, 47, resided Nobob, farmer, unable to go to
T'ville.
All the testimony dealt with the debts, the distillery business and
horses.
