He was a 10th generation New Yorker and descended from the Olde New York families of Purdy and Knapp who founded several towns in the Westchester area including White Plains, Rye, and Harrison as puritans in the 1600s.||Here is another photo of my great grandmother, Lenore A. Cullen Knapp, married to Alfred David Knapp II. She was one of about 10 or 11 siblings, and the daughter of Irish immigrants from Counties Cork and Limerick.||Here is a photo of my great
