|Here is a picture of my great grandfather, William Otto Hartman. His original name was Hartmann but he changed it when he enlisted for the Spanish American War in 1899. Here he is featured in his Spanish War uniform. Legend has it he fought with Teddy Roosevelt and he was part of the Rough Riders as he too was from Long Island.|
