Joseph A. Guarnera
Joseph A. Guarnera of Route 23, Franklin, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was 73. Born in Italy, Mr. Guarnera came to the United States in 1911, and had lived in Franklin for the past 53 years. He was a self-employed barber and owned the Theatre Barber Shop located in the Franklin Theatre Building for 45 years. He retired in 1961. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church in Franklin. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary C. Picchione; his son, Joseph D. of Franklin, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, to the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church for a requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday , 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9.
