settled in Washington, DC. |
This is
probably the earliest picture we have of Gaetano's shop. We
believe this was taken around 1900 since the little guy on the step is
believed to be Meanda GUIFFRE who was born in 1890 (my grandfather).

This is
probably Tony's (Gaetano's first son) shop. He is standing in the
doorway with his first son, Guy, who was born in 1903 so we guess this
picture was taken around 1907 or so. The other man was Tony's
business partner. Tony's shop was also located near the White
House. |
This picture
was taken in the early 1920s. Marie Ellen Guiffre is the little
girl looking out the window. The car is in the shape of a
SHOE! The shop at the time was located at 1224 Pennsylvania
Avenue, a few blocks from the White House in Washington, DC. |
This is
Gaetano (my great-grandfather) and was probably taken in Palermo around
1875. He was born 22-Apr-1846 in Termini Imeresi. His
parents were Gaetano GIUFFRE and Salvadora AGLIERI RINELLA. |
