Subject: [{ITA-SICILY-L}] new microfilm stuff

Hi listers...

Here is info from my last 4 microfilms..I will be going back next week to continue looking at them, so if there are any new requests for name look-ups, or need further info, please let me know..I am looking at 2 films from Misilmeri, palermo province, and 2 from Sciacca, Agrigento province.

They are both births...

9-4-1850 Antonina Sidoti (father Francesco 36, mother Guista Amato 28)

6-4-1850 ROsa Pipitone (Michele, mother: Giuseppa Carlino)

8-19-1850 Angelo Pipitone (Maestro Tridoro? 30, and Santa A?aro 18)

2-10-1851 Filippo Pipitone (Giusto and Lucia Giordano, certificate purchased by Caterina Pipitone)

4-2-1851 Giovanna Pipitone (Domenico and Francesca Di Pisa)

6-7-1851 Gaetano Sidoti (Cosimo and Francesca Amato)

Francesca Guardino (Father Alfonso, age 36; mother Caterina Venezia) I forgot to write down the birthdate! but it falls in 1876.

That's all I copied for you all this time...Once again though, there were lots of Pipitone's, Sidoti's and many other surnames that I see often mentioned here...even saw some Buschemi's in Sciacca films too...too many to write down...If you don't know exactly where your family is from, and just know it is near Palermo, you might try checking these films!

Grace, still no Deserto's

Jill, no Carnesi or Melle

Lots of Sabella's-too many to write down

only Guardino I noticed was the one above, but there were lots of Giardano's

no Fratella/Fardello, but lots of Fascella

no Bellestri

no Tringale

There are A LOT of Schimmenti's on the tapes (of course, why can't it be easy for me!), and lots of other very common surnames...

Here is a list of surnames that I found a while ago on a previous microfilm, that had marriages, 1851-1865 from Misilmeri. I have copies of all these records.  I only copied the ones that pertained to a Schimmenti, but there were many more on the tape that I didn't copy! so if you see your surname here, you might want to rent the tape! I have listed this before, but not in a while, so for newcomers, here it is...
