Thanks for the e-mail.

Actually, I had forgotten about requesting information from you.  I'm trying to learn about genealogy by tracing my husband's family first, as they are in England I presumed it would be easier.  Now I have my doubts as there were so many different religions in the 1800's  I have no idea which one they may have belonged to.

 

I'm hoping that my Father's  family was Roman Catholic all the way back, so maybe it will be easier to trace.  Anyway, I have a copy of my Father's Birth Certificate & it reads as follows:

 

Comune di Mammola, Provincia Di Reggio Calabria

Certificato di Nascita, etc

N. 155, Parte I Serte A - 1894-----Born 23rd June ( I believe)

    ALBANESE, Giovanni Francesco

Father, Salvatore

Mother, GENTILE Maria NUNPATA 

So  the names in capital letters  is what I'm looking for.  Not sure about Nunpata.
