My great-grandmother's name is Vincenza Giambrone. She was born in Cerda, Palermo, Sicily on April 7, 1879. She arrived at Ellis Island on June 28, 1912, with my great-grandfather Vincenzo Guida, my grandmother Maria and four of her sisters all of whom were born in Cerda.  Maybe we have a connection somewhere. I also want to pay tribute to my grandfather, Michele Giordano, who decided to come to America alone to make a better life for himself and for his future generations. And to my g-grandfather, Vincenzo Guida, who brought his young family here (including my grandmother) for the very same reason.
