Emily,
I just recently learned that my great grandfather (Luciano Inguaggiato) parents were Damiano Inguaggiato and Maria Messina, from Petralia Sottana, Sicily. Luciano was born on Feb. 8, 1829. Where the Messina's immigrated to, I don't know.

Doris,
My grandmother's (Maria Filippone) parents were Giuseppe Filippone and Maria Anna Geraci. I have cousins named GERACI in New Jersey. There was a father (Charles) and son (Frank) who had an Insurance business in Newark NJ for many years. I know there is a village, or county named GERACI that dates back to the year 1412. At one time, the name GERACI ranked equally with the the name DI LUNA as the chief titled family in Sicily.
