Surnames: Menlo, Minto, Mento, Minlo, Miano
Does anyone have the following surnames from in or around Palermo.
Menlo, Minto, Mento, Minlo, Miano
Old handwriting in New Orleans 1870 was written over on death record. It appeared to be MARIA "MENLO" but it's a guess. Records states she was from Palermo.

Looking for two names:
Pietro RANDAZZO
Gaetana CALACINO (attempting to read OLD handwriting and think this is how it's spelled).
Both would be from Palermo or areas around there. My guess both born in the later 1700's.

Randazzo / Meneo / Gargano
.... The Gargano name I'm looking for more than likely is from Italy. The CATHERINE GARGANO I'm looking for died in the early 1900's in New Orleans. That's all I know about her. As for RANDAZZO all my Randazzo's started in USA in New Orleans from Palermo, moved Omaha Neb. then to San Jose, CA. Not a sole of my RANDAZZO family are from Baltimore.

Randazzo / Meneo / Gargano
My greatgrandfather, IGNAZIO RANDAZZO, married a MARIA MENEO. Both were born in Palermo and lived in New Orleans. Immigration could have been about 1865 or before. After MARIA MENO RANDAZZO died IGNAZIO RANDAZZO remarried. He marriage a daughter's name of MRS. CHARLES RUSSO who lived in Omaha Neb. will also play a roll in my family history as well as CATHERINE and INGAZIO'S
children.

Josephine,
If you have access to immigrants to the US from Santo Stefano, Calabria I would be interested in the surname ZOCCOLI though it could have been changed from ZACCOLI. Another surname would be MUSSOLINI.
Thank you
Paula

RandazzoRANDAZZO name has popped up on my screen the last two days that people are searching for their roots in books. I too am looking for a Ingatius RANDAZZO born in or around Palermo and moved to New Orleans abt 1840-1860 est. He "could have been a twin". The name Ingatius might be misspelled slightly.
Ingatius was married twice apparently in New Orleans. One marriage he could have been married to a Mary. The other wife I'm looking for would be my ggrandmother. They had a child by the name of VINCENT RANDAZZO who was born in New Orleans abt. 1860 -1880. He was a twin. Twin unknown. VINCENT might be listed with the Italian spelling of the name.
If anyone is checking on these names ANYWHERE including records and books I sure would appreciate your impute.
