Subject: Re: [{ITA-SICILY-L}] LORINO

Lots of Lorino's settled in the south by way of arriving in New Orleans.  My GGrandfather Saverio Lorino married Rosalia Palise in Chiusa Sclafani (@10 miles south of Bisacquino). My grandfather Gaetano Lorino was born in 1884 in Chiusa Sclafani, and arrived in the USA by way of New Orleans @ 1918. There is a long and twisted story from the island that I am working on.

My father is Tom Lorino, but not the Auburn University All-American football player from the 50's - but they are contemporaries! I was pretty popular when I served in the Air Force in the Florida panhandle and Alabama. The football player recently officiated in the Rose Bowl, and I believe is still actively officiating.

I'm in the very early stages of research, so I'd appreciate any info.
