... I am researching one branch of the Siragusa family. (also spelled Saragusa on some documents) Giuseppa (b. 1885) and Gaetana (b. 1891) Siragusa were sisters from Palermo who married Gaspare and Francesco/Frank Genovese. Both couples emigrated to NY in the 1910s. I believe the sister's mother's maiden name was Nacera, and family stories report that the father was a jeweler, possibly named Anthony.

...I am also researching GENOVESEs from Palermo.  Domenico Genovese was my husbands g-grandfather (b. abt. 1848, supposedly one of 5 sons, married "Carmella", had 3 sons that we know of born in Palermo -

Francesco/Frank, Gaspare/Gaspar, and Giovanni/John). All but Giovanni/John emigrated to the US/NY and died here...
