I'd like to submit the following surnames:

Florio, Verderame, and DeCaro

My father believes that the family only came from Licata, Sicily, but, I think other places are possible.

Thank you, Susan Florio

Subject: [{ITA-SICILY-L}] Looking for Incorvaia from Brooklyn

I am looking for anyone who might know a Francesco INCORVAIA who used to live at 180 Union St., Brooklyn, NY. I found a gift card from a Francesco INCORVAIA in my parent's wedding stuff. My uncle Vincenzo FLORIO brought him to the wedding saying he was a cousin. My parents were married April 29, 1961 in the Bronx, NY and they believed he was in his 60's if not older at the time. They don't think he ever got married, but he did come to the wedding with a woman (don't know her name). He's more than likely not alive today, but if anyone knows a Francesco INCORVAIA who was born somewhere in the between the late 1880's and early 1900's, can you please contact me? I'd like to see if we really are related. Maybe he's a part of a missing branch!

Other than him, we don't know of any INCORVAIA's. My father's name is Frank (Francesco) FLORIO and my family came from Licata, Sicily in the province of Agrigento. I believe the name INCORVAIA also came from Licata. Maybe my uncle said he was a cousin because they were from the same town?

Aiuto!...Grazie, Susan Florio
