Subject: RE: [{ITA-SICILY-L}] New to list

Ciao a tutti! I am new to this list, so I thought I'd introduce myself. My relatives are not from Sicily, but close to it. My Grandfather Giuseppe Raffaele Calabrese was born in 1909 in Arena, Catanzaro, he and his parent's Michele (born 1883) and Caterina (Gerace) (born 1888) Calabrese came to America in around 1910 when mio nonno was around 1 year old. My Grandmother was Elisa Merinda Presutti (born 1912 in Brockport, NY) her parent's were Giuseppe Presutti (born 1873) and Maria (Giancenta, Giancinta?) (born 1876) Presutti, on a family tree that I had made when I was a little girl and my Grandmother was still alive, I had put Maria's name as Georgia, so I'm not sure if maybe she could have gone by that name here in America. Maria and Giuseppe were from Abruzzo Italy, I'm still not sure exactly what town. I know they came to America before my Grandmother Elisa (who later changed her name to Mary) was born, so sometime before 1912. that's about all I know at this point.

Hi! Lynda! my fiancÚ's father was a David Adamo. We don't know too much about him yet, as my fiancÚ's Mother Margaret Reid (Murray) left David before Robert (my fiancÚ') was born. I would like to be able to complete Bob's family tree for him, and also for our daughter Nicole. maybe we can find some ties, although I don't have too much info yet to compare. David lived in Marin County California, up until about 2 years ago when he passed away. I think he has a brother named Charles.   thanks!

Hi! just wondering if maybe your Geraci was related to my Gerace. She was my GGrandmother. born Caterina Gerace - 1888 in Italy.
