my HAAG / HAG / HAWK family

My HAAG / HAG / HAWK family is originally German, and in North America, is centered in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. Thanx to internet cousin Bruce Baker, I know now that my line begins with the immigrant Hans Jerg "George" Hag, born ca. 1720. The HAAG / HAG surname eventually was Anglicized to HAWK. George married a woman named Catherine, and together they produced a son, Conrad Hawk.

Conrad, in turn, married Sarah Williams (daughter of Thomas & Naomi Williams) and had a daughter, Naomi Amalia "Amy" Hawk, my g-g-g-g-grandmother.

More on this and other early HAWK families is available in Kenneth Hawk Slaker's book, "Early German Hawk Families of Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania." Unfortunately, at the moment, I do not known the identity of the publisher. (Information on my own family is from pp. 264 and 265 of this work.)
