my STARR / STUHR family

My branch of the STARR / STUHR family begins with Michael Stuhr of Virginia. His son, Jacob Joseph Starr was born there 2 Jun 1788. Sometime thereafter the family relocated to Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. The Starr's land later became part of Armstrong Co. It was there that Jacob's son, John Brice Starr was born 25 Sep 1816. A number of John's descendants moved to Ohio during the 19th century.

However, my own direct STARR ancestors remained in Armstrong Co. For much of the 19th Century, they lived in Valley Township, near the area known as Brockettville. In 1899, Andrew A. Starr moved his family into a home in Wickboro, a home still in the family in 2001, over one hundred years later.
