Irish Strays
This site is designed to help those with elusive Irish Ancestors.
It is simply an index of persons born in Ireland that fall into three categories:
Strays from the 1851 Census (i.e. those born in Ireland who were elsewhere in England, Scotland or Wales for the 1851 Census)
Strays from the 1881 Census
A few records from the surviving fragments of the 1851 County Antrim Census
This site is intended only as a finding aid. You will need to follow the usual procedures to locate the Census Records (County Record Offices, PRO, LDS etc)
