SAINT CATHERINE'S CHURCH

St. Catherine's Church, Thomas Street, Dublin 8, was built between the years of 1765 and 1795.  It was deconsecrated in 1969 before being restored by the City Outreach through Renewal and Evangelism (CORE) group.  The church reopened in 1999 and is used for services and charitable functions.

Plaque at the entrance to St. Catherine's which commemorates the death of Robert Emmet who was hanged, drawn and quartered outside the church on 20th September, 1803.
