Stack The origin of this surname is English. The Stacks have been established in north Kerry since the late thirteenth century. They became thoroughly Irish from an early date. In 1890 Stack was principally found in Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Wexford and Dublin, and the estimated number of bearers was 2,420.
