de Prendergast, de Priondragás A surname of Cambro-Norman origin, derived from Prendergast, a parish in Pembrokeshire in Wales. Maurice de Prendergast accompanied Strongbow to Ireland. This family established themselves early in Wexford. Subsequently they established themselves in Connacht. Also see Morris.
