1683...24 12m 1683, Sarah BEAZER received a letter from her brother
William Coole, of Devries, Wiltshire, England. She was widow of WILLIAM BEAZER. In the letter (which I have found reference to in both PA & Wiltshire records), mentioned that a John Gibbons (Gibson?), Robert PYLE, and Edward Bezer all came to Pennsylvania together.1634...William Bradshaw (1-Bashawe/BEASER) was a "Lawyer" who went back and forth between the Barbados, Isle of Wight and the Isle of Kent, VA, (later MD). probably a relative of John Bradshaw the Regicide and descendant of John Bourchier and wife Cicily Daubney.
Pg 500...Abstracts: John Smith fined 359 lbs tobc for abscense from court when called. William Garrett also fined for same. William Bradshaw must be WILLIAM BRASSEE who lived near William Garrett in Varina Parish VA. WILLIAM GARRETT being father-i-l to John Smith's daughter. John Smith was a close associate (RELATIVE) of the BRASHERS of Wiltshire (England-Beverly Fleet lineages ). Did you know - Garret alias Jerret was spelled GERRARD in Scotland ?
This may be the William BRESSEE who mentioned THOMAS HOLMS, JOHN STEVENS and JOHN GOODWIN (GOODIN?) in the Courts of Henrico Co., Va. William Bressie moved to the "Northern Neck" of Virginia and was with William Garret there abt 1756 ( and are found later in Chester Co., PA in the Wm Penn settlement).
Therefore since records show both William Bradshaw & William Bressee living
in Varina PARISH, Henrico County VA, close to William Garret and John
Smith, it could be the same person BRADSHAWE going by BEAZER & BRUSHER & BRESSIE.
It must be William Bressee alias Bradshawe (Attorney) who was back and
forth to the East Shore of MD before 1634 (of Varina Parish of Isle of Wight Va).The later William Bressee who was described as living in Varina Parish could
be a relative (descendant) of WILLIAM BRADSHAW of Varina Parish who received a deed of land from John & Elizabeth (Jones) TURBERFIELD, dau of EDWARD JONES, in 1719.
It was Mary (FIELDS) Jones (wife of Edward Jones Jr.?), the daughter of Thomas FIELDS, who married (3) CHARLES SCRUGGS. EDWARD JONES (1 or 2) had a patent of land that was sold to WILLIAM EDWARDS. The William BRASSE Sr. & William BRASSEE Jr. of Varina Parish both had their wills witnessed (or ex. ?), by William, Robert and Richard EDWARDS-I think in the Northern Neck.*** ISLE OF KENT VIRGINIA - MARYLAND ***

These colonists were brought by Capt. NEWPORT

They who came over at this time were the following: List includes a THOMAS PHELPS. A Thomas Phelps is mentioned in Wiltshire Co., England also.CONCLUSION: William BEZER (Bourcher) has to be the WILLIAM BEZER who served in militia at Fort PITT under CAPT. Benjamin BIGGS. It is he who came with Andrew SWEARENGIN from OHIO CO., VA., in 1777 to the aid of Wheeling. It is he who died 1789 in KY and had daughter who married ANTHONY PHELPS son of THOMAS PHELPS. And is probably the WILLIAM BRESHEAR who's descendants removed to SPARTENBURG SC into KY., and on to WARREN/WHITE CO., TN.
Georgene has no connection of this clan for HENRY ALEX. BRESHEARS, other than association in Cumberland Co., NC and Spartenburg Co.,SC., but feels there has to be a connection. Because of the name of WILLIAM, MATTHEW, ALEXANDER, SARAH and ANDREW being prevalent in the lineage, it is supposed that the BEAVER CO.,PA., CLAN are of this lineage also. The names on the migration path seem
to be those associated from Chester Co.,PA. - should workout. Robert is seen on the Militia lists as ROBERT BOWCHER also. We know Zachariah BRAZIER was son of a ROBERT BRAZIER sic born about this time.

The Bashore Clan - an article from "Louisiana Successions" Vol 1-St. Landry Parish 976.346 P226.
1614...Certain biographical sketches have stated that the BASHORE family is of French Huguenot descent. The original being La Brasseur. There are many transmutations through out the US. During the French reformation many people were pursecuted because of their religious beliefs. Some fled to Germany and from thence to Holland and England. One Jacues La Brasseur and family were members of the French Protestant Church at Norwich, England as early as 1614. In a letter to JAMES HARRISON dated 25 Aug 1681. PENN named Wm Crispen, JOHN BEZER and Nathaniel ALLEN as land commissioners delegated to make the surveys in Pennsylvania. They arrived at Uppland late the same year. The following year, as soon as the ice was melted they began their duties. [James HARRISON finally gave up claim to land issued to William Brashere of Augusta County-see under William BRASHEAR who married Miss Calvin].Other members of the "Clan" fled to the Palatanate or some other protestant area of Germany, then on to Holland or England, embracing many faiths.
1709-10...The story of the Queen Anne Palatanates who came to New-York and their early days in Pennsylvania make facinating reading.
Johaan BASSHAAR who was dec'd before 1756 was either one of the original emigrants of Queen Anne coming to Rochelle, NY, or a son born shortly after their arrival. "Knittles - Early Palatinate Emigrations" and "Whethey's - Book of Names" are invaluable sources for information. There are a wide range of spelling of the name in the various translations. The sources are the same however.
1709...Knittle gives the following: Embarcation list from Holland, 2nd party sailed 23 May 1709 - BEYSCHER, Johan Peter amd vrowu [spouse?]. 3rd sailing, 5-10 Jun 1709, Johna Peter and vrowu with 4 children. 4th party embarked,10
Jun 1709-sailed 21 Jun, with Casper BESSER, vowru and 3 children. 5th party embarked 2-10 Jul and sailed 15 Jul 1709 with Nicklass BESSER, Vrowu and 3 Children. 6th party embarked 27 Jul, sailed 28 Jul and included HENRIG BESHER, vrowu and three children. BOTSER, Ann Maria and John Herman BOTSER, vrowu and eight children.1709...Mac Werthy - gives the following lists: 3rd list - embarked 5-10 Jun with BEYSCHER, vrowu and 4 children. Another list says the ages of Johan age 50, wife, two dau and 2 sons ages 20-30. [XCK: Henry Beser of N-YR lineage charts - "WL"].

William Besor and Edward Besor this John's brothers also arrived in Pennsylvania in 1682. He was a member of the Soc. of Friends and was severely persecuted in England for his religious convictions. Before leaving England he was engaged in business
as a maltster.
The BEZER FAMILY BIBLE, dated 1551 was in the possession of James Phillips in 1887 whose wife was Eliza Lamplugh, a direct descendant of John and Susanna (Withers) Beezer. The Fry family of Backlands[[Blacklandsfl, Wiltshire, of which John Bezer s sisterùinùlaw was a member, entertained George Fox as he testifed in his Journal. On his way from Bristol to London in 1662, Fox records "having great meetings among Friends as I went." In the following year after having ridden
20 miles on horseback from the direction of Hampshire, Fox arrived at Fry s house in Wiltshire where a meeting was appointed for the next day.
