Edward Betsinger, brother to my Abraham, was born in Oneida County, New York, in 1836. As far as I can tell, he was a farmer his entire life. He married Martha Blazier (1845-1904), and they had fourteen children. There is a newspaper article from his lifetime, where he is excited about none of the children dying. His family is listed in the 1865 Town of Western, County of Oneida, New York, census. Edward died in 1894, and is buried in Carmichael Hill Cemetery, Oneida County. I believe almost all of his descendants continue to live in the Oneida County, NY. area. His children are:

1) Abraham born 1863-died 1933. I have no info on any descendants.

2) Laura born 1865-died 1943, Steuben, N.Y. Married George Drexel.

3) Jacob H. born 1869-died 1951, NY. Married Ester Johnson. Their children were Gordon born in 1899-died 1971, and Hazel, born 1904. I have contact with Gordon's granddaughter.

4) Issac born 1871-died 1959, NY. Married Olive Lockwood. They had seven children: Warren, Otto, Irene, Arlo, Leon, Hilda and Mabel. I have contact with a couple families from here.

5)John. Married Anne Baker. I have no other info on him.

6) Oscar. No other info.

7) Edward. Married Jessie Miller. No other info.

8) Nora. Married George Hoke. No other info.

9) Martha. Married Joe Thomas. No other info.

10) Melinda. No other info.

11) Stella. Married a Teachout. Their children were: Irene and Isabel.

12) Sarah. Married a Jones. No other info.

13) Lucy. Married John Walti. Their children were Malcom, Marion, and Karl.

14) Jennie born 1874, died 1944. Married Victor Lockwood. Their children were: Victor jr, Royal, Grace, Earl and Everett.
