                                   Blacklock

I wish to express my gratitude to my cousin Katherine Blacklock for sharing hours and hours of her research with me and providing much of  the information here.

This symbol  represents my direct lineage.

James, or perhaps John*, BLACKLOCK of Dumfries Mills Scotland was married on 20 Mar 1780 to Mary (Aithey?) ATHEY.  Nothing is known of the birth or death dates or places for this couple.  They were my 5th great grandparents through their son James and his daughter Margaret.

*IGI shows John  while family members believe the name to be James.
