With several states now making their vital records available online in image format, I have had to stop using the photo album and records database to display these. There are just too many records to be added to make it feasible for me or for my server. This would just be an overpowering burden for the server to assume.
These files are not listed in a database. You will be seeing the file names in a directory listing.
Scroll the listing to find names of interest or ID#s for your family. Click on the name or ID# and the image will open for you to see. You can then save the file to your hard drive for later use.
If I know the person is in the database, I use their number from the master database as the file name. Example, any record pertaining to me will be named I1.jpg. The I is for the database individual and the 1 is his/her ID number. If I do not know who the person is the file names will be the names of the people listed in the file.
These files have some INMAN relationship - self, spouse, father or mother. The file name indicates the person who died or married. If you still can't figure out the system, there is a link on the left to the sites where I got the images and a link to contact me for help.
PDF FILESMany of the files were presented online in the PDF format. Some I have converted to JPGs and some I have left in their original format. To view these PDF files you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
Acrobat is free and allows for viewing these embedded graphics in their viewer using your web browser. The viewer has a zoom feature for your convenience. You can save these files to your hard drive for later use. Click on the icon above to download the newest version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader.
Copies of vital records that were in the Photo Album and in the Vital Records Database are still there and probably not included here. Don't forget to check the links to the left that will take you to those databases.
