Mrs. Susan M. KAISER, aged resident of Three Rivers, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. M.A. BROWN 518 West Street at two o'clock Thursday afternoon after an illness of several years. She had been confined to her bed for the past six weeks. (May 19, 1938)
She was born in Sandusky Co, Ohio, on May 9, 1858, a daughter of Henry and Elivna PICKARD GEMBERLING. She came to Michigan with her parents when four years of age, locating in Fabius township where she lived until she came to Three Rivers. On June 18, 1893 she was united in marriage to Charles KAISER, who preceded her in death in 1895. She was a member of the Bible church for many years, and was a faithful attendant as long as her health permitted.
She won the love and respect of her acquaintances and friedns by her kindly, steadfast disposition even in the face or incurable illness.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Adam (Ella) HEYMAN of Fabius township, Mrs. M.A. (Elizabeth) BROWN, Mrs. Oscar (Kathryn) BUTLER, and Mrs. Edward (Clara) KAISER, all of Three Rivers, and many other relatives.
Funeral services will be held from the Mains chapel at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Pat Clifford officating.
Interment will be made at Riverside.
