Phillip A. SNYDER for many years a resident of Florence township, died in Fawn River township at eleven o'clock Saturday after a long illness. (May 3, 1941)
He was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, April 23, 1862, a son of John and Catherine GEMBERLING SNYDER. He came to Florence when a young man and had since lived in St. Joseph County. For several years the family had charge of the post office at Florence. He was last of a family of six brothers and one sister. During his residence in St. Joseph County, he made a wide circle of friends.
Surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Haring funeral home at eleven o'clock Tuesday. Rev. Wm. E. Watts officiating.
Interment at Riverside.
