Frank BAKER, well known farmer of Flowerfield township, died at his home at twelve-thirty Saturday after an illness of several months.
He was born at Olney, IL, Oct. 20, 1884, a son of John and Jane HENDRICK BAKER. When he was a young boy the family came to Michigan, locating in St. Joseph County where he has lived since.
Mr. BAKER operated a threshing outfit for a number of years in connection with his farm and had operated a saw mill some years ago. During his residence in St. Joseph county he made a wide acquaintance and by his honesty and dependability won the confidence and respect of all who knew him.
In February 1923 he was married to Mabel GEMBERLING who survives, beside two stepdaughters, Mrs. Maurice SOULE of Three Rivers, Mrs. Lyman DAY of Kalamazoo, Mrs. June BAKER of Fabius Township, three brothers, ?? (hole in paper) of Fabius, John of Three Rivers and Ed of Flowerfield, two grandchildren, Thomas DAY and Linda SOULE,and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at his home at two o'clock Tuesday. Rev. Hawkins officating.
Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.
