Welcome to Gemberling's in America
Last Updated January 2004
We have tried to compile a good cross of Gemberling (and various spellings of the name) family research. We have family trees, photos, obituaries, tombstone photos, letters, biographies and some family folklore.
Henry A. Gemberling 1857, My great grandfather and Peggy's great-great grandfather grew up on Arbor Lawn Farm shown above. His daughter Grace Agnes (Gemberling) Bailey and son Sephares Weaver Gemberling were raised there by their grandparents Sephares and Rosa Ann (Picard) Gemberling, after their mother Annie Weaver died.
The purpose of this website is to provide a communication medium of family affairs, and family history, both ancient and present and to encourage the continued family research of ALL Gemberling, Gamberling, Gemperling, Chamberlain and various other spellings, in America. To bring this information together so that any visitor to this website may have access to the information obtained.
Gemberling's in America invites descendants of Johann Peter Gemperling of and Anna Hehrlin of Assweiler-Saarland, Germany, his son Samuel Gemperling and Eva Maria Hann and his sons Johann Jacob, Johann Charles/Carl and Johann Paul to contribute to this website and family database.
Since Peggy and I descend from Jacob we have much material on his descendants, his two brothers that went by the names Carl and Paul, we have limited information.
Some interesting tidbits, there may have been a woman buried under the barn, possibly Jacob's wife Catherine since she is not buried with Jacob at Sharon Lutheran Cemetery, and a young man fell down the back stairs of the house and broke his neck. Could this have been one of Jacob's sons or grandsons?
If you did not find your GEMBERLING here, please join the mail list maybe someone there will be able to help you. We would love to add your Gemberling's to the database, EMAIL ILA
Also be sure to visit Peggy aka Mothercorky's Gemberling site where she has an ahnentafel report of descendants of John Jacob Gemberling.
