Louvina was the daughter of William Bible and Anna Etter Bible and the granddaughter of Lewis Bible and Sarah Bottles Bible and the great granddaughter of Christian Bible the pioneer. Robert's grandmother, Lydia Freshour Bible, was the daughter of Samuel Freshour, son of John "Chucklehead" Freshour, and Elizabeth Bowers Freshour. Elizabeth Bowers Freshour was the wife of Christian Bowers and when he died she married Samuel.
