18. John Adam BIBLE^13,17,18 was born on 16 Jul 1754 in Montgomery Co., PA. He died on 20 Aug 1850 in Milam County, Texas. In 1788, John was living in Rockingham County, Virginia in Capt. John Ruddells Co. # 11 and in 1789 living in Rockingham Co. Va. Dist. 7 with 113 acres of land. John was living in Greene County, Tennessee in 1793 and owned land adjoining his brother Phillip Bible. 1801 living in Blount Co. TN owned 200 acres (Blount Co TN Tax list). John moved to Marion County, Tennessee in 1826 and purchased land from the Cherokee Indians in 1827. While in Marion County he lived at the mouth of Fiery Gizzard Creek on Battle Creek.

John sold his land in Marion County in 1844 and moved to Missouri. In 1847 he went to Oklahoma and from there to Texas. John and his family raised hogs and drove them to markets in the southeast. One of John's sons married an indian girl from the Oklahoma Indian Reservation and John's family raised cattle in Texas and drove them to the Indian Reservation for the Federal Government.

John Adam BIBLE and Rebecca COFFELT were married on 12 Jul 1797 in Greene Co, TN. Rebecca COFFELT⁸ (daughter of Phillip COFFELT and Eleanor Nelly RYAN) was born about 1780 in Hardy Co, VA. John Adam BIBLE and Rebecca COFFELT had the following children:
